Meet Dana, Our Owner
Dana’s Story
We moved to Phoenix in 1980, where I attended middle school, high school and college. I come from a great family, with three younger brothers, and my father has owned a small, local A/C, Heating & Refrigeration company for the past 20+ years. My parents made me who I am today, and my heroes has always been my Dad & Mom.
Starting in 1988, I enjoyed a long career in events and entertainment, which included traveling internationally doing personal security for rock bands, managing the largest event security company in Arizona and traveling across the U.S. setting up on-site communication systems for the PGA TOUR, PGA of America, USGA, etc. My last tenure took me to Monterey, CA for a few weeks each year for the PGA TOUR tournament at Pebble Beach. Each time I was there, I spent a lot of time at Hula’s Island Grill & Tiki Room. In 2006, I had met my future wife and realized that 300+ days a year traveling on business probably wouldn’t be conducive to a good marriage, so after several shots of Patron one evening, I approached Chris and Craig Delaney to partner with me to bring a Hula’s to Phoenix. Three years and seven months later, we opened the doors of HULA’S modern tiki….sounds corny, but I am living proof that you can accomplish anything if you just believe, and never give up. I have been blessed to have had an amazing life to this point, and I know that there are even greater things to come!
